ANOTHER boat has exploded, this time it is believed it was petrol stored in the engine compartment.
Tony and Alison Tibbitt, were actually in the boat when it exploded, as they were returning from a short cruise on the Waveney.
Jump off
The boat was just short of its berth when there was an explosion in the engine compartment with it on fire, but the couple managed to get to the berth and jump off, with slight burns.
Though a fairly old boat, the couple had spent money on it bringing it up to standard, but within a short time the boat was destroyed and sank.
The fire service attending the blaze could do little to save the boat, that was well alight when they reached the scene.
