THERE has been quite an interest in the Canal & River Trust logo, particularly concerning the lack of any reference to boating or waterways.
One boater, Simon Greer, also asks why British Waterways could not have asked its customers in the trade to design the logo, and even sends us the spoof, being more applicable.
Remarks Simon:
"I haven't yet seen the new logo but I'm told the bridge remains, a swan has been added and the reeds have been dropped. And most poignantly there's no reference to waterways or boats.
"Why can't CART/BW commission this work/production from those of their customers who are in the trade? I bet I could produce their requirement for less than half price.
"Whilst the company claim to have done design for free they will recoup their fee/s from the artwork, origination and print costs when the new logo goes into production, and make many thousands."
