ONE OF THE GATES on West Stockwith Lock 65 is not available for access to the Chesterfield Canal off the tidal Trent
This is due to Stockwith Lock being currently inoperable.
The problem is the lock will only open so far and thus only available to boats that can fit through one gate of the lock from the Chesterfield Canal on to the tidal Trent.

In view of this passage will not be accepted for boats onto the Chesterfield Canal from the river.
We are told this restriction will be in place until the lock is closed for repairs on Monday the 14th of September, at which time no boats will have passage until the lock is repaired.
