THE DAMAGED OLD FORD LOCK 8 on the Regents Canal is still not repaired.

Canal & River Trust tell that the Regional Regional Reactive Team working with its contractor are mobilising to set up site in readiness to install stop planks today, Wednesday, to allow to de-water.
Access tomorrow
It has access tomorrow at which 'the gate can be accessed thoroughly by our Asset Engineers & Reactive Team to decide on any possible temporary repairs design'.
Whatever that means.
However, the damage renders the lock unsafe to operate, and thus the lock will be closed until a repair can be undertaken.
