Way of life under threat from themselves

I read this article (Protest Picnic on the Lee Navigation) with interest, writes Peter Foster.

I wonder how many of the "capital's liveaboard boating community" are operating on continuous cruising licences?

Precludes their way of life

Their wellbeing and way of life is only under threat from themselves, as so many say they need to be moored there to go to work/send the children to school, ignoring the fact that a continuous cruiser licence will preclude them from this very way of life they want.

To stay in one place, you need a permanent mooring, or am I being too simplistic here?
