WITH the ever increasing excuses being churned-out these days, CaRT must have an Excuse Department, writes T. Lang.
With two more this morning proclaiming to affect the breach on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal it certainly looks that way, as we now have 'Now established a method of repair' and 'This requires careful planning to make sure we are working within Health & Safety legislation'.
Damn good excuse
But I must say this latter one is a damn good excuse, and so much better than the rather worn out 'establish/organising/creating a method of repair', that rather signifies they do not know what they are doing.
Well, as contractors, and so not waterways men, they wouldn't would they?
They would be much better now sticking with the Health & Safety excuse, it sort of sounds better, even if it is an excuse for delay, that we must all by now know that is all they all are.
