So this is global warming?

I AM fairly certain that many boaters will agree with me—and official statistics—that this is being the worst May ever, writes James Henry.

I am of course referring to the weather, with rain, rain and more rain and that seemingly never ending cold either east of north wind making boating anything but a pleasure, and seemingly even superseded the many stoppages as the favourite topic of conversation at locks.

Always have a May cruise

Like your good-selves, we always have a May cruise, as you can rely on warm weather and plenty of sunshine after the April showers have gone, but not I am afraid this time, and we are still out in the rain making the best of it.

All I can say is that if this is the global warming that 'they' are always flogging, then pull the other one.
