White Mills plans two open weekends

WITH its earlier open weekends having to be cancelled due to coronavirus White Mills Marina announces two Autumn Open Weekends.

The proposed earlier attractions in May and July this year were both cancelled however due to the pandemic, but such were their popularity that the marina on the Nene at Earls Barton has rescheduled its 2020 open weekends that will be held on the 5th & 6th September and 26th & 27th September, with Operations Manager Gary Butcher explaining:

By appointment only

“We have had numerous phone calls from boaters who were either due to visit us at Crick Boat show or at one of our open days asking if we were rearranging our dates and so rather than leaving it until next year we have decided to host two open weekends in September. Both of the open weekends will be by appointment only which will enable us to give each visitor our undivided attention whilst adhering to all the safety guidelines.

The 141 berth marina opened in 2016 and has established itself as an essential stopping-off point for visitors venturing onto the Nene . Since lockdown restrictions on the waterways were lifted the marina has been handing out free face coverings and gloves to visiting boaters.
