Teenager robbed on canal towpath

THE police are investigating a robbery on the Basingstoke Canal towpath with an appeal for witnesses.

A teenageboy was robbed on the towpath between Malt House Bridge and the swing bridge, in Church Crookham, on Tuesday afternoon, Alan Tilbury reports.

Two older boys wearing facemasks grabbed the teenager and pulled his bag off back and escaped with it.

This is the second similar occurance on that towpath within the past two weeks.
