Published: Wednesday, 04 March 2020

WITH waterway events being cancelled due to the threat of coronavirus comes the possibility of the threat to Crick Boat Show.

The largest and most important of the inland waterway events, there is concern of the effect of the virus, should it dramatically escalate, but it is still being planned as if it will go ahead.

Peter Johns, Publisher of Waterways World and Show Director informed narrowboatworld:

"We are still planning to deliver Crick Boat Show 2020 and advanced tickets and exhibitor numbers are up compared to this time last year.  We are watching closely the advice being issued by Public Health England and will take any steps required to safeguard the health of our exhibitors, visitors, staff and volunteers."

It is hoped that by the end of May the virus will have been contained and this important event will go ahead as planned.
