Lots of volunteers wanted
THE Chesterfield Canal Society believes in planning well ahead as to volunteers.
It needs lots of volunteers for its annual Festival at Staveley Town Basin that will be held on 27th and 28th June next year.
Many thing need to be done now
However, there there are many things that need to be done now, and there will be a meeting for anyone interested at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday, 9th November at Hollingwood Hub. In particular, they need someone to do the bookings of all the stalls and attractions.
The Dawn Rose crew too is hoping to recruit some new helpers for its maintenance team. There will be four sessions in November when anyone interested can come along to see what is involved. These are Saturdays 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd November from 09.00 to 12.00 at Shireoaks Marina.
