Another car removed from canal at Chirk

ANOTHER car has been removed from the Llangollen Canal at Chirk.
The Ford Focus landed in the canal at Chirk from where the private road runs by the side of the waterway by the cottages, Alan Tilbury reports.
Second car
This seems to be a popular spot for 'dipping' cars, as it is the second we have reported having to be hauled out of the waterway at that location.
It was on Sunday morning that the occupants of the cottages noticed the car in the canal, with police later confirming that it been there since around 3am in the morning, but had no occupants.
Most popular canal
Regarded as the system's most popular canal for boating, the car was quickly removed so as not to hinder the many hirers using the waterway.
