Cruising in tickover

I SHOULD imagine there are many boaters who share my feelings about CaRT allowing even more online moorings, writes T. Lang.

The news that it will allow such moorings anywhere along the waterways where in the past they were only allowed at the end of owner's gardens is going to create more tick-over cruising as more and more take advantage of this.

Cheap moorings

As to not allowing subletting, anyone with land backing onto a waterway can easily apply, get the cheap mooring then it will be the 'son', daughter, brother or whatever in possession. It already happens at 'end of garden' moorings and will continue to happen, and of course with CaRT raking in the the cash, I should imagine again, that nothing will be done

.For CaRT to say that it had taken 600 online moorings off the waterways by promoting more marinas, I just do not believe, as there are now more online moorers than there have ever been in my time, and that is now nearing 20 years.
