MOST of us will have seen the green bags that ambulance crews carry, packed with life-saving equipment, yet thieves thought it fun to steal one and dump in in the Avon at Bath.

There was around £2,000 worth of potentially life-saving equipment that was stolen—even out of an ambulance attending a call—then slung in the river, Alan Tilbury reports.

Completely ruined

A South Western Ambulance Service team in Bath were astounded at the theft, especially as being in the river all the equipment is now completely ruined and cannot be used.

The green bag, is known as the first response bag, that includes emergency equipment such as resuscitation equipment used by paramedics, and was discovered in the river by Cleveland Bridge on Monday (20th), with the police interested in hearing from anyone who witnessed the incident.
