IN ADDITION TO THE LEAK on the Shropshire Union Canal yesterday there is another leak.
This time on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, Keith Gudgin reports.
The water is flowing out of the waterway into a culvert between Lock 12W and Lock 13W at Micklehurst.
Investigating
The trust's local team are on site investigating the leak and are planning a method of repairs.
It is thought the exceptionally dry and hot weather is causing cracks in the ground and allowing water to escape from the waterways, that could explain the dearth of leaks now appearing.
