Body found in Ouse

THE search for the man who was seen falling from the bridge over the Ouse in York has ended with a body having been discovered.

It was the Northumbria Police Marine Unit that found the body, that was still near to the Bridge where it entered the water.

Identified

The man has been identified, but the police have not released his name in respect to his family that is receiving police support over the dreadful shock.

The area around where the body was discovered was cordoned off for quite a while, with the police apologising for any disruption this may have caused.
