I FEEL I must point out to Graham Piers that Bridgewater boats are not allowed to use CaRT waters without paying, writes Jenny MacGillivray.
They have limited access, but any boat planning to stay longer than seven days needs a visitor licence, the cost of which depends on the length of your boat. Many Bridgewater boaters also have a CaRT licence, which they get at a discounted rate.
No return within 28 days
I personally have no augment with the seven days limit on the Bridgewater, it is the no return within 28 days that I find annoying.
Perhaps it will lead to a line of boats at Leigh, who having been to Liverpool or over to the Lancaster, waiting out their 28 days before they can pass through the Bridgewater to get back to CaRT waters!
