IN ADDITION TO THE STOPPAGES caused by lack of water, there are still breakages that need repairs.

Trent & Mersey Canal
On the Trent & Mersey Canal there was a stoppage caused by a gate and cill needing repairs with the navigation closed on the 27th of July at Middlewich by the junction with the Middlewich Branch that has caused many boaters being unable to proceed,
It was Lock 72 that needed repairs, that were completed yesterday and the waterway reopened at 3pm.
Lee Navigation
The Lee Navigation suffered a closure caused by the bottom hydraulic gates of Stonebridge Lock 16 not operating yesterday, Wednesday.
But it was attended by the trust's own team and the repairs completed the same day.
