A POWER LOSS to Mexborough Low Lock on the Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigation has stopped it working.

This was on the Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigation and was caused by an outage by National Grid with the power being lost at the Mexborough lock. Image by
Backup generator failed
The lock has a backup power generator, to keep it working in the case of such an outage, but this also failed. Image by penninewaterways.co.uk.
A team will be on site to investigate the situation and attempt to rectify the issue and restore operation of the lock.
