Boy dies is canal

A FOUR year old boy fell into the Walsall Canal and tragically died.

It was around noon last Friday that the child fell into the canal at Bloxwich and was pulled out by police officers. Keith Gudgin reports.

Emergency treatment

He was given emergency treatment at the scene and transported to hospital, but was pronounced dead after arrival.

Police cordoned off the scene and state there were no suspicious circumstances. 

Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and a Critical Care car from Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene.
