Will they ever learn?

TIME and time again a navigation is closed as a vehicle driver attempts to discover if it floats.

This time it is the Leeds & Liverpool that is closed as a foolish driver decided to take to the canal instead of the road, Keith Gudgin reports.

Between locks 69 and 70

This morning, Monday, the Wigan Flight is closed as yet another driver decided to take to the flight between locks 69 and 70.

This time however it is a police incident, with Canal & River Trust working with the police to arrange recovery of the vehicle.

In the meantime the flight is of course closed to navigation.
