Flower-less flower beds

I WROTE some time ago about the flower beds with raised wooden borders being set up around Sutton Stop, writes Brian D Jarrett.

These pictures show a similar exercise carried out some years ago!

Obviously, the instigator has moved on and now they are reduced to a mess that would requires on-going maintenance in order to keep their original 'prettiness'.  I rest my case.
