Subservient to Canal & River Trust

IN REPLY to Claudia Trenhall , as a life member of several societies I do fully support restoration, writes Rodney Hardwick.

But I think IWA should be more active in encouraging Canal & River Trust to properly maintain the existing system.

I had been a long standing IWA member and Branch Officer but when I saw how subservient it had become to the Trust, I did not bother to renew my membership.

P.S. IWA seem very coy about publishing membership figures lately.
