This comprises of 500 dwellings,  a park and 1,600 square metres of flexible floor space—whatever that it is!

The plans were approved by the planning committee last Wednesday, subject to conditions, Roger Fox reports, and who remarks:  'This looks very pretty but seems to offer little or nothing to boats', as the artist's impression of the development well shows.

The plans were submitted by St Joseph Homes and develop land by the side of Timothy Bridge on the Stratford-on-Avon Canal and include the demolition of a number of buildings on the site.

Canal will be celebrated

A spokesman for the company tells the project will create jobs, enhance biodiversity and enable the canal to be celebrated.
