Suspect identified in towpath rape case

THE Manchester Police have released a photograph of a man wanted in connection with the rape on the towpath in the city last month.

The horrific incident was the rape of a 14 years old girl in broad daylight on the towpath of the Rochdale Nine near Dale Street, Alan Tilbury reports.

Manhunt

The police have now launched a manhunt for the man shown in the released photograph of the suspect of the rape that took place at around 7pm on Saturday 11th July.

The schoolgirl was with friends when they were approached by a group of men and she was grabbed by one of them and raped with the other frightened girls escaping.

The emergency services were alerted discovering the very distressed girl in severe shock, subsequently receiving treatment in hospital.
