Adding insult to injury

WHEN Gregory Martin moored his boat at Redhill Marina he was shocked to find it had sunk into what he described as excrement and slime.

RedhillSunk1Not viable to repair

He was sickened as it had been 'written off' because the stench and the bacteria filled water has made it not financially viable to repair.

He told us that unbeknown to him the company had recovered the boat, moved it, took the engine away to work on, then rang him.

Bill for £1,500

And now adding insult to injury—he has received a bill for £1,500 from Redhill for recovering the boat and stripping the engine, and is concerned if he is liable for that as if he knew nothing about it, but is informing the insurance company to sort it.

After this experience he tells us he is 'quitting boats after this'.
