Two more stoppages

THE Huddersfield Narrow Canal is now closed for further dredging.
This is in the vicinity of Ramsden Lock (14E) with it severely silted-up and this has increased over the past week, Keith Gudgin reports.
We are informed the navigation is closed until further notice.
Stainforth & Keadby Canal
The Wykewell Lift Bridge (pictured) over the Stainforth & Keadby Canal is 'unable to swing' due to a hydraulic pipe burst Canal & River Trust tells, but lift bridges don't swing, they lift!
This means the bridge is closed to navigation until it can be repaired
