Avon bridges to be repaired

FOUR bridges over the Avon in Stratford district are to have much needed repairs.

Clopton Bridge, Bidford Bridge, Binton Bridge South in Welford and Honington Bridge at Shipston will all benefit from a cash windfall which is being part-funded by Warwickshire County Council, reports Roger Fox.

£4.978 millions

Warwickshire County Council’s Bridge Maintenance Team has secured funding of £4.978 millions from the Department for Transport through the Highways Maintenance Challenge Fund 2019.

Work is expected to commence later in the year but coronavirus could have an impact.
