How many now?

JUST read your report that the Huddersfield Narrow Canal is out of action, writes James Henry.

How many does this make that are at present out of action? Read that the Llangollen has a stoppage as has the Rochdale, and not sure about the Leeds & Liverpool.

Prevented three times

We have been attempting to cruise the 'Narrow' for a long time and were stopped the first time by a stoppage on the canal then twice stopped by stoppages on either the Marple or the Bosley flights. (We don't have the time to go right round the Bridgewater and Manchester to get to it.)

Now that the Marple is at last back in action we were considering it in a fortnight's time, but I can't see much chance of it being open by then.
