Mystery on the Chesterfield Canal

WHAT looks very much like a marina in the making has been spotted on the Chesterfield Canal.

Situated by Smith's Bridge by the old brickworks as can be seen from the aerial photograph provided by a contributor, its outline is well shown.

Little is known

This is somewhat of a mystery, as very little is known or has been published, but our contributor saw it when cruising past, realised it is new, so later took to the sky and took the photograph.

The fenced area has been dug out and there is land by its side for buildings and parking.
