Chesterfield Canal on Countryfile

THIS coming Sunday (26th May) the Chesterfield Canal will appear on Countryfile.

It was a week ago, the BBC came with Matt Baker to cover part of the restored canal for the long running BBC programme.

Filmed on trip boat

The crew filmed on the Chesterfield Canal Trust's trip boat Madeline, at Hartington Harbour, Turnerwood and Whitsunday Pie Lock.

Many of the Trust's members were also interviewed on the work they had accomplished over the years, with this edition of the programme being broadcast on Sunday 26th May.
