Came through Hillmorton okay

WHILST not doubting that Victor, Mr Lang and Anon suffered problems, I came through Hillmorton Locks twice last week without problem., writes Martin Cox.

There was a different set of volunteers on each of the two days.

A third set?

I don't know how many volunteers are on the rota, so possibly there is a third set causing problems or the problems have been ironed out.

I was very impressed on the first day. First timers in a hire boat were working up their first lock and both volunteers were taking the opportunity to ensure that the hirers understood how locks work which is more than their hire company (remain anon!) had done.
