Berth discount to help boaters relocate

Published: Thursday, 23 November 2017

MANY boaters move from marina to marina giving them new cruising routes, with Kings Bromley Marina going that extra mile.

Kings BromleyIt is offering a 20% relocation allowance to new customers for their first year of mooring  on specific berths within the marina above Fradley Junction on the Trent & Mersey Canal with Operations Director Mike Braidley explaining:

New customers

"We've had a lot of new customers this year, and have only a few berths left available. We just thought that an allowance to cover the costs of getting your narrowboat across to Kings Bromley would be a nice gesture, and the uptake has shown it to have been a great offer!"

With five marinas in the group, the 20% relocation allowance offer as been extended to some berths at Wigrams Turn Marina at the junction of the Grand Union and Oxford canals and for a couple widebeam berths at Buckden Marina near Huntingdon on the River Great Ouse.

The marina has invested £200,000 in a new club house, with marina office, shop, lounge and showers (and even a bath!) for customers. It has also put up a summer house earlier in the year for customers, which has been really well received, and is used for events as varied as birthdays to reading groups.
