THE stoppages on the Kennet & Avon and Huddersfield Narrow canals have now been lifted as both failures have been repaired.
The broken balance beam on Guyers Lock (84) on the Kennet & Avon has now been replaced and the navigation open, Keith Gudgin tells us.

The tailgate on Wharf Cottage Lock (13W) on the Huddersfield Narrow has now been repaired and the pound was filling last night and the navigation now open this morning, Thursday.
Both repairs were done rather quickly.
