Court order to remove boats

AFTER obtaining a court order against illegally moored boats on the Thames, they have been ordered to leave.

The boats are moored illegally at Molesey LockĀ  and Hurst Park, and have resisted attempts by the Environment Agency to move them, Roger Fox tells us.

Should they still be there at the end of their time of grace, they will be forcefully removed under the terms of the court order.

Wardens

The River Users Group at Kingston have now submitted a formal complaint about illegally moored boats on the river at Queens Parade, with the demand to the local council that wardens should be employed to issue fines.
