Filming comes first
If you are aiming to go through Gloucester Lock between 9am and 7pm on Monday 18th August, you can't, and there will be hold ups 'for a few weeks' whilst third party filming is taking place.
During filming, which can be at any time, the docks will be closed and no boat movement will be permitted, so moor where you can out of the way.
Another example
As Amy Dickerson, who told us of the problems, complained:
"Another example of CaRT attitude to boaters. Pity any boats arriving at Gloucester Lock and having to moor on the wall on the Severn with no means of getting off their boats."
On the Monday boaters can get through the lock and Llanthony Bridge between 7.30am and 9.00am, or for one hour after 7pm.
To add to boaters problems there will be strict restrictions on visitor moorings.
