Shireoaks all locked-up

THE visitor moorings at Shireoaks Marina on the Chesterfield Canal were ousted onto the towpath on Monday, with the marina fenced off and locked.

Require a permit

Contractors are now at work fencing the old visitor mooring off, and any boats needing to moor will require a permit to do so from the 'moorings team'.

The sanitary station will also be fenced off from the main marina at the same time, with a gated entrance being introduced from the towpath.

And still another gate is being erected at the access into the marina for refuse disposal and facilities.
