THE proposed plans for a new canal link of the Herefordshire & Gloucestershire Canal to Dymock have fallen through.

The plans were for 15 homes to be built around the link, and though they were ready to go before the planning committee they were withdrawn at the last minute, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Further discussions

It is estimated that the scheme would cost in the region of £3 millions, but it is now stated that 'further discussions are needed.

The Herefordshire & Gloucestershire Canal Trust are involved with a non-profit company to further the scheme.  The actual reason for withdrawal of the plans was not divulged.
