The number of flats proposed has dropped from 42 to 39 retirement homes on the former gas holder site, though there is only car parking for 13 vehicles, that prompted further objections.

However, the developer believes this is adequate, telling that people who live in the flats would have stopped driving.
The plans include a communal residents' lounge, laundry, guest suite and manager's office, with the initial price for a one bedroom flat £176,995 and a two bedrooms flat £240,495.
