THE CALDER & HEBBLE NAVIGATION is now open, having been quickly repaired.
And now reopened, Keith Gudgin reports.
It was on the 11th September that the waterway was closed as Brighouse Bottom Lock 12, as it was causing problems to boaters.
Free from its bearings
It was discovered that one of the lock gates had come free from its bearings.
But this was repaired in just four days, with the navigation now open.
