This is possibly caused by an electrical fault, as it was on the 4th July then closing the waterway.

And there is still the stoppage Aynho Lock 33 that is having its gates replaced, that it was told will not be completed until early October.
As to the present stoppage, the trust's team attended yesterday, Wednesday, to assess the situation.
