AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN launched by the police after swans were injured on the Chesterfield Canal.
It is told these were reportedly injured by schoolchildren along the waterway, Janet Friend reports.
This occurred on the Chesterfield Canal in Retford.
Significant progress
A number of swans had been injured with the Nottinghamshire Police telling it had specially trained officers who are making significant progress with their investigation into the completely unacceptable behaviour.
It is added that those taking part in the incidents will be dealt with appropriately.
