ONCE again the Erewash Canal is closed between Stanton Lock and Hallam Fields Lock.
Making it the third time in just a fortnight, with Keith Gudgin reporting 'this is becoming monotonous'.
Drop in water levels
And once again it is caused by 'a drop in water levels' with the boats at the Langley Mill moorings locked in, with just one and a half miles to cruise to a winding hole or locked out from their moorings.
Canal & River Trust's 'team' is at present carrying out water control to try and bring levels back up, adding that boaters cannot currently travel along this section.
The stoppages occurred on the 7th, 18th and 21st of this month.
