FOR the third year in succession the Stratford River Festival has been cancelled.
It was coronavirus that caused its cancellation over the past two years, but this year Stratford has stopped it so it can use the money on its four day Jubilee Festival in early June, Roger Fox Reports.
Very special occasion
The River Festival was a very special occasion creating a great atmosphere on the river and on the recreation grounds, with a variety of entertainment, music, food and drink, but once again, it is not to be.
It attracted a great many boats, all lined up with buntings flying, making a spectacular display.
The organisers, Stratford Town Council have decided the money is required for the one-off four days festival in June, though as yet there are no details of what is to be offered, only that it will taken place from Thursday, 2nd to Sunday, 5th June.
