Due to coronavirus restrictions passenger numbers are being limited to allow for two metre social distancing, providing plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views onboard the spacious electric boat Wiggonholt (Pictured). It is hoped to add Saturday trips and special cream tea voyages after 21st June when guidelines allow.

Bookings can be made via the Trust’s website, www.weyandarun.co.uk.

Bank holiday Monday (31st) will also see special trips offered onboard the nine-seater Josias Jessop boat, especially for family groups. The 30-minute trips will run throughout the day from 11-4, with no need to book ahead. The Trust’s visitor centre will also be open, with Chairman Sally Schupke explaining:

Celebrate

“With lockdown easing, what better way to celebrate than cruising the Wey & Arun. If you are looking for something different to do on the bank holiday weekend, then come along. All proceeds from our boat trips will go towards maintaining the canal and future restoration projects.”
