Huddersfield Narrow closed again

ONCE again a failed paddle has closed the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.

Westwood Lock, 17E is now closed, with the adjoining lock 18E also closed to prevent water loss, Keith gudgin reports.

Paddle failure

It is a paddle that has failed, so with only the one working on the lock gate this has caused the closure.

There is no intimation when a repair can take place nor whether both paddles will now be repaired.
