Three children in canal

THREE children fell into the Staffs & Worcs Canal near Wolverley Court Lock yesterday, Tuesday, with one dying.

The circumstances of what the children were doing at the time is not known, but all three were in the water, and though two managed to get out the third one had to be rescued, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Early evening

This happened in the early evening, with a six years old girl having to be rescued and taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The other two children  are expected to make a full recovery.

The police are investigating the incident.
