Email: Those Droitwich reeds

We felt exactly the same as Dave Bulbeck about the Droitwich canals experience. We too visited the canals this year and felt the lack of moorings.

When we left the basin in the town we had to travel all the way to the Severn without mooring, and by the time we reached Stourport it was a long day! (that's another story, you used to be able to moor in the basin there in years gone by).

We had bought a guide book and studied it before we went, and intended visiting some of the places mentioned in it, and doing some of the short walks described in the book, but there was nowhere to moor. We shall not go back unless more moorings are made in the reeds, which is a pity.
