Canal death—man charged

A MAN has been charged with the death of an angler whose body was recovered from the Sankey Canal on Saturday.

Anthony Ogburne, has been charged with the murder Harry Morris, and has appeared before Warrington magistrates, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Police state that there was an 'altercation' by the side of the canal during an angling competition on the waterway when the incident occurred.
