Man arrested after body pulled from marina

A MAN was arrested the day the body of a woman was pulled from a marina on the Thames.

The 61 years old man was arrested on Saturday after the body of a woman was found in the Thames & Kennet Marina at Caversham on the Thames, Keith Gudgin reports.

Early stages

However the police maintain this is in the very early stages of the investigation, and are urging the public not to speculate on the circumstances of the woman’s death, which is being treated as unexplained.

Police are still at the scene and have told that officers will be there for some time while the investigation continues, but believe there is no danger to the moorers at the marina, with 'a full and thorough investigation to ascertain the full circumstances of this tragic incident, being undertaken.
